Lanius A is fun, but I personally don't do well with it as I haven't played with AE on much yet. Gets trickier in the mid game it seems, but with a little luck I've won a couple times with it. I kinda thought I remembered having it at one point, but might be wrong and haven't played it for quite a few runs.Įngi A seems to go well for me too. The downside to this ship is that I've heard you can't get cloak. If you get lucky like I did in the last run through and get two Burst Laser IIs, a III, and a halberd beam, then you'll find you have very little to do besides rotate weapon power around and laugh as you dismantle the flagship with ease. The B has been a dog in standard mode, but reasonably sucessful in AE because I can hack weapons till the Artillery Beam kicks in. I tend to bump up engines off the hop - provided you can keep dodging shots, you can destroy pretty much anything in the first few sectors with the beam, even if you haven't been too lucky with the weapons you've found. Can blast through most of the game with very few upgrades.
Out of what I have:įed cruiser A is easily the best though kinda dull to play. I've only been playing on easy and normal, and haven't unlocked everything yet.
